I'm going to be straight with you: even though it just launched and it's brand spanking new, I knew T3 was coming out with its own air styler late last year — way before I was ever supposed to. When you work in beauty, you hear things — what can I say? Back then, even though the launched seemed far, far away, I was still excited to try it out.

I'm a huge fan of T3 tools and I have been for years — the curling iron is my go-to, whether I want big, bouncy waves or a beachy look — but I was still prepared to put this product through the ringer. It's no secret that I'm obsessed with my Dyson Airwrap, and since the T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler Blowout Kit ($300) is a similar tool, it had to be really great to live up to my expectations.

What I Like About the T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler

I've been testing this hair tool for a little over a month, and I'm genuinely really impressed with how well it works. The first time I tested it, I was a little shocked at just how lightweight it was. After styling my full head of hair, I usually feel like I just did an arm workout, but that wasn't the case with the Aire 360. However, although it's lightweight and easy to use, it doesn't feel cheap — it still feels sturdy. The ceramic plates are also unlike any other air-styling tools I've tested in the past — they leave my hair feeling silky to the touch.

I noticed how shiny my hair looked each time after giving myself a blowout with this tool, but it wasn't until a recent day at the beach when I was looking back on photos that I noticed just how shiny my hair truly was after styling it.

The oval brush attachment is probably my most frequently used, and I like that it's large because, although my hair is fine, it's pretty long. The larger brush means I can get my hair done faster, which means I can spend more time doing other things, like scrolling TikTok when I should be getting ready for dinner with my girlfriends.

I also love that it comes with a soft, easy to use carrying case. I can easily toss it in my bag when I'm traveling.

How to Use the T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler

The brand recommends styling two different ways. If you're using the curling attachments, they suggest rough drying hair with the drying concentrator and then dividing hair into sections. From there, attach the ceramic curling attachments one at at time to do the left and right side of your head.

If you're going for a bouncy blowout, start with the same steps, but switch over to the oval brush attachment, place the brush at your roots, and roll it out toward the ends until your hair is completely dry.

I like to start by applying a detangling product just after the shower and combing it through. From there, I typically use a heat-protectant cream before rough drying using the concentrator attachment. If I want to opt for curls, I'll switch over to the curling attachments, but I typically like to give myself a blowout using the oval round brush attachment. I usually finish off by using the curling attachments on just the front pieces of my hair before going over everything with the cool shot.

What to Consider Before Trying the T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler

The brand's website mentions that with this tool, you can style your hair with "zero heat damage." It's noted that this is based on a third-party study "in which a tensile strength test showed no mechanical damage to the hair" when using the product on the highest temperature as well as the highest speed. I've only been using the tool for about a month, so I can't speak to whether or not it's damaged my hair at all, but I still do use a heat protectant just in case. What I ahve noticed is that after each time I've used this tool, my hair looks softer and feels shinier.

Is the T3 Aire 360 Ceramic Air Styler Worth the Splurge?

Coming in at roughly $300, this hair tool isn't cheap, but it's not as pricey as other, similar tools on the market. In general, I find T3 hair products to be long lasting (I've had my favorite curling iron from the brand for over six years), sturdy, and typically well worth the splurge. In my opinion, if you've been looking for a hair tool that will give you a long-lasting blowout and will leave your hair looking shiny and healthy (and you've got a little cash to burn), this is the perfect pick.

If you want to compare it to the Dyson Airwrap, you should know that the Airwrap features one extra attachment, the smoothing brush. If you like to wear your hair straight without any bounce or curl to it, you'll most likely want to opt for a different tool.
